Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome to Hillbilly Rooster Farms blog. Today we're having some animal fun with Tiddly Inks Bog Hop.
I've chosen to do Christy's Snail Mail Wryn. I printed her on to X-Press It paper, then coloured her with Copic markers.
Uniform: B91, 93, 97, 99
Satchel: B93, 97, 99
Hat: C1, 3, 5, 7
Shoes: C3, 5, 9
Snail: E40, 42, 44
Shell: E70, 71, 74
Skin: E00, 02, 21, R20
Hair: Y21, YR26, YR18, Y28
Shadow: W1, 3, 5
I created a postage stamp collage for my background paper. Using repositionable adhesive spray, I positioned old, used stamps across a piece of 8.5x11 cardstock. Once happy with my layout, I coated it with 2 layers of Modge Podge.
I have tons of stamps from friends around the world, and friends and family at home. Finally, I found a way to show them off, instead of them collecting dust in boxes. I eventually cut this down to 7.5x7.5 for my background. I used basic black cardstock, cut 8x8 as a mat to fit inside the frame. Using Washi tape with the Airmail stripes, I created a .25 border on the black cardstock, allowing me to place my postage stamp collage within the framed stripes.
I printed a postcard on plain white cardstock, added the mailing address and one of the smallest stamps I could find onto it. Then, using a postmark stamp from the Recollections Vintage Ads set, I stamped lightly on top of the postage stamp. I stamped the sentiment having a great time in Black Versacolor Cubes ink, embossed it with clear powder and used Walnut Stain Distress Ink to give it an older feel to it. I used a Fiskars corner punch to add detail to the sentiment. I matted both Wryn and the postcard with black cardstock, as well as the sentiment, once again using the corner punch to match it.

Wryn now sits in a lovely shadow box frame in our living room. I hope you enjoyed your stay and will see you at the next blog!
